Sad Girl Food Cafe sprang to life from my own experience in 2025 — a fashion designer with 12 years experience, suddenly thrown into the wild world of unemployment at the start of the year.
Navigating a brutal job market left me with more time on my hands and a generous dose of those sad, uncomfortable feelings. That’s when the Sad Girl Food Cafe Characters were born. I worked on creating some quirky characters and indulged in plenty of sweet treats to lift my spirits.
Novelty mixed with Kawaii inspirations & a way to deal with mental health / the meaning of my new life, struggles.
And just like that, Sad Girl Food Cafe was born!
